NSW HEALTH MINISTER WARNS YOUNG PEOPLE “YOU COULD POSSIBILY DIE FROM THIS”

“You could possibly die from this this.”

That’s the message to young people from the NSW Health Minister, Brad Hazzard in a press conference in Sydney this morning.

“Young people who that think they are not going to be affected, you are wrong,” he said.

“It is quite possible you will be. You won’t be, perhaps, be affected to the extent older people will be, but you could be the unlucky ones who end up in our hospital, in our intensive care units, on ventilators.”

New South Wales Health has confirmed 12 people have died from COVID-19 in the state.

There are 104 new cases, bringing the state total to 2,493.

In the last 24 hours there have been 3540 tests undertaken.

NSW Chief Medical Officer Dr Kerry Chant confirmed there are currently 41 people in ICU, 23 are on ventilators.

Four of those patients are in their 30s.
