An elderly man has been charged after a woman was found with critical head injuries on the central coast last night.
Emergency services were called to a home at Berkeley Vale just after 9pm, after reports a 79-year-old woman was seriously injured.
Police found the woman, who was treated before being air-lifted to John Hunter Hospital where she remains in a critical condition.
A 91-year-old man, believed to be her husband, was arrested at the scene and taken to Wyong Police Station.
He’s been charged with wounding a person, with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
