FUNDING BOOST TO HELP SPORTS CLUBS EMERGE AFTER PANDEMIC

Sports clubs in the Clarence and Richmond Valley have been sent a pick me up in the form of cold hard cash.
Thirteen clubs across the regions will share in $87,000 to improve the enjoyment and safety of members and spectators as the region emerges from the coronavirus lockdown.
“Through the pandemic it’s hard to get sponsorship and they then have to rely on mums and dads to pay for fees and upgrades to sporting facilities, so these funds are absolutely invaluable to ensure that our local clubs can survive.”
The Casino netball association and Woodburn pony club are among the organisations to benefit.
McLean Dirt Bike Club will soon have female facilities, thanks to the funding.
