Local Land Services has reported a sighting of an ugly friend in Tamworth, earlier this week.
The cane toad was located by a group of teenagers in North Tamworth on Tuesday.
It was taken to a local vet, where it’s being held under biosecurity.
Cane toads are an alert species in the north-west – anyone that locates one is urged to use gloves to remove them, before contacting their nearest Local Land Services.
