MAN CHARGED AFTER 64-YEAR-OLD DIES IN BALCONY FALL AT CRONULLA
Police are investigating what led to a 64-year-old man dying in a balcony fall in Sydney’s south last night.
A 40-year-old man has been charged with breaking an AVO after the other man fell from the fifth floor apartment in Cronulla.
Police say witnesses reported “suspicious behaviour” but are trying to piece together what happened at the Deeban Walk unit at 10pm yesterday.
“A fall from a balcony leads to difficulties establishing what went on,” Superintendent Steve Patton said.
“If you were in or around the area you may have seen something that’s relevant to the investigation.”
Four other people who were at the apartment are also helping police, who say they could have been drunk.
The 40-year-old man was arrested nearby and taken to Sutherland Police Station where he was charged with contravening a prohibition/restriction in AVO (domestic).
