TAMWORTH TO WELCOME RELAXED COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS COME MONDAY

Tamworth’s leaders say the city will welcome relaxed COVID-19 restrictions, come Monday.

From June 1, Tamworth’s popular Marsupial Park and Adventure Playground will reopen to visitors.

Restrictions will lift on places of worship, with 50 people allowed inside a church, 50 at funeral services and 20 at weddings.

Camping grounds across the region will also open their gates.

The city’s pubs, clubs, restaurants and cafes will be allowed to accommodate more than 50 patrons.

“Good news, but, making sure that we do maintain that social distancing, making sure that we do maintain that very high level of hygiene that we have been experiencing.”
