$2.3 MILLION IN FEDERAL FUNDING ANNOUNCED FOR HYDROTHERAPY POOL
Armidale will soon be home to a brand-new hydrotherapy pool and regional health complex.
Barnaby Joyce announcing an additional $2.3-million for the project
It follows an initial grant of $1.1-million from the New South Wales Government last year.
“This is going to be vitally important for the remedial requirements of those who have suffered injuries that need this hydrotherapy pool. This is something Council has been asking for, it’s something the people of Armidale have been asking for, it’s something I went into bat for and now it’s something that we’re delivering on.”
The complex is expected to be situated at Monckton Aquatic Centre and offer year-round therapeutic health, sports injury treatment and learn-to-swim classes.
