Greece has overwhelmingly said no to bail-out austerity measures, in a weekend referendum – with locals taking to the streets of Athens to celebrate. The votes are still being counted – but at least 60-percent have rejected the demands of Europe’s creditors.
A fisherman has had a shark scare at Lake Macquarie. He was fishing in his tinny just east of the Swansea Bridge when the shark swam up and stole his catch from a mesh bag dangling in the water.
Queensland’s Origin team is rallying around captain Cameron Smith, after criticism from Alex McKinnon. The ex-Newcastle forward told Sixty Minutes he believed Smith’s onfield comments, following the three-man tackle which ended his career, implied the paralysed player was partly to blame.
And Police in Gold Coast have stepped up their search for two teenagers missing from Mudgeeraba.
