In the NBN State League Weston overcame Hamilton, Valentine Phoenix beat the Gunners.
There were wins for Lake Macquarie and Broadmeadow.
The Magic’s Peter Haynes showed the class that landed him a stint with the Jets, and his biggest fan became part of the celebration.
Later in the half, Haynes teed up Rhys Tippett who doubled Broadmeadow’s lead.
