TWO NEW CASES OF COVID-19 IN THE HUNTER NEW ENGLAND
Two new cases of coronavirus has been detected in the Hunter.
One of the cases, a man aged in his 60s, was already in isolation, as part of the Port Stephens cluster.
Hunter New England Health is working to identify his close contacts, who will also be placed into isolation.
There are now 7 cases linked to the Port Stephens cluster, which originated from the Thai Rock restaurant in Wetherill Park.
The second case is a New England man, aged in his 40s, who is a returned overseas traveller.
He’s been in hotel quarantine in Sydney since his return.
