UPDATE: The crash has been cleared, and all westbound lanes on Newcastle Link Road are now open.
Traffic is affected at the intersection of Newcastle Link Road and Lake Road at Wallsend after a two-vehicle crash this morning.
Emergency services were called to nearby Thomas Street just before midday, after reports a truck and car collided.
The driver of the car was taken to John Hunter Hospital for minor injuries.
