Jack Pountney became the youngest golfer ever to win the Coffs Harbour Club Championships yesterday.
Held over three weekends, the 17 year old amateur won the four round event by 16 strokes ahead of runner up Tyler Corfe.
“It’s a good feeling to win any club championships, at your home club something I haven’t done yet and yeah just a good feeling to win it,” Poutney said after his win.
Pountney is now considered one of the favourites to win the North Coast Open to be held at the Coffs Harbour course in mid October.
