A man in his 80s has died from coronavirus as New South Wales records another five cases in the past 24 hours.
The news comes as two employees from Chopstix Restaurant at Smithfield RSL test positive to the virus.
Customers who dined there from July 31 to August 9 must get tested if they show symptoms of the novel coronavirus.
An alert has also been issued for diners who went to Rick Stein at Bannisters on August 1 after a customer tested positive.
Anyone who was there between 8pm and 10.30pm is considered a close contact and must get tested immediately.
The latest warnings come after the state records five new cases out of the 24,093 tests conducted in the last day.
Three are linked to the Tangara School for Girls cluster. One, a man in his 40s from Western Sydney is locally acquired and still under investigation. The other is a close contact of this person.
