A man has been airlifted to John Hunter Hospital after a 500-kilo steel plate fell on him at a Mid North Coast construction site.
Emergency services were called to Harrington just after 10:30am, where the 58-year-old had suffered fractures to both legs.
He was treated at the scene before being flown to hospital by the Westpac Rescue Helicopter in a serious but stable condition.
