$2 MILLION UPGRADE STARTS FOR MOUNT PENANG INFRASTRUCTURE
Work is underway to upgrade the Mount Penang Parklands at Kariong.
Roads, sewer and water infrastructure will be improved, as part of a $2-million election commitment by the Berejiklian government.
Construction was originally supposed to begin just after the election in March 2019.
“Obviously, we’re talking about some complicated infrastructure, all of the processes had to be followed,” Parliamentary Secretary for the Central Coast, Adam Crouch said.
“Regardless of whether it didn’t happen immediately after the election, we are getting on with it.”
It’s hoped the work will attract future development as well as create around 3,000 jobs.
