HAVE YOU SEEN DIANNE BURNES?

Police are asking for the public’s help to find missing woman Dianne Burnes.

The 70-year-old was last seen leaving her home on Wynyard Avenue, Bass Hill, yesterday morning.

Dianne told her family she was going shopping before attending a doctor’s appointment on Hector Street.

Her family contacted police when she failed to return home and could not be contacted.

Following inquiries, police determined Dianne didn’t attend her appointment.

Dianne is described as being of Caucasian appearance, approximately 168cm tall, with long blonde hair tied up in a ponytail.

She was last seen wearing a jumper and maroon-coloured jeans.

Dianne Burnes has previous connections in the Newcastle and Belmont areas, and police are urging locals to keep an eye out for her, as she may have travelled north.

Anyone who sees Dianne, or believes they know her whereabouts, is urged to contact police.
