DRIVER RAMS INTO PARKED CARS AND LANDS IN A SUBURBAN FRONT YARD IN NEWCASTLE’S WEST

Wallsend residents were left stunned last night after a driver came careering down Lake Road, smashing into two parked cars and landing in a local’s front yard.

The dramatic accident saw the parked ute flung onto the roof of a nearby parked land cruiser.

The male driver, the single occupant of the vehicle, suffered minor injuries and was taken to hospital for mandatory testing.

Police and two Fire and Rescue crews attended the scene.

Investigations into the cause of the accident continue.
