AUTISM CHILDREN LEARN TO SURF

More than 200 children with autism had the ride of their lives this morning, hitting the water at Nobby’s Beach for Hunter Connect’s second ‘Learn to Surf Day’.
With the help of their instructors, it wasn’t long before they were conquering the waves- although some decided to stay on dry land.
Organisers say the sport is proven to help those with the condition.
Money raised from today’s event will go towards supporting families affected by autism.
