QUIRINDI HIGH DUO SELECTED FOR NATIONAL YOUTH SCIENCE FORUM

Two Quirindi High School students will put their brains to the test at the ‘National Youth Science Forum’ in 2021.

Mark Batterham and Thomas Boorer, from Grade 11, have been selected from a pool of entrants to attend the prestigious 10-day program in Canberra.

They’ve successfully undertaken a series of practical assignments – as well as four interviews – to be named finalists.

“I’m really looking forward to going to the NYSF, so I can meet heaps of new science people and learn about all the different fields of science and engineering that I can be involved in when I leave school.”

The boys, who’ve been friends since kindergarten, are the first duo from Quirindi High to be selected for the forum simultaneously.
