A bottle-shop worker has been threatened at gunpoint, during an armed robbery at Lake Macquarie last night.
The armed thief entered a bottle shop on Wilsons Road at Mount Hutton, just after 6pm last night, and threatened a 24-year-old man working there.
He demanded cash before running away towards South Street, Windale.
Police were called to the shop soon after and established a crime scene.
The man is described as being between 180cm to 185cm tall.
He was wearing dark clothing and had his face covered at the time.
Anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area between 6pm and 6.30pm last night is being urged to call police.
