TEENAGER DROWNS AT UNPATROLLED BEACH ON MID NORTH COAST

A teenager has drowned at an unpatrolled beach on the mid north coast this afternoon.

The 17-year-old was swimming with his family at Diamond Beach near Hallidays Point when he got into trouble.

Emergency services arrived just after 1pm, retrieving the boy from the ocean and starting CPR.

He sadly died at the scene.
