Police are on the hunt for a man who allegedly approached and assaulted three young girls at Muswellbrook.
Shortly after midday yesterday, the girls – aged four, eight and 11 – were playing at a reserve near Hunt Place when a man walked towards them.
He allegedly pushed them to the ground and then attempted to touch the eight-year-old’s face.
The girls ran from the reserve and called police.
The offender is described as being between 155cm to 165cm tall, in his early to mid 20s, with a dark complexion, medium build, black hair and brown eyes.
Anyone who may have information which could assist investigators is urged to come forward.
