CLIMATE CHANGE ACTIVISTS CUT COAL SUPPLY

Around 40 protesters are expected to be charged with trespassing after they managed to stop coal from being loaded at the Port of Newcastle this morning.

Nine people climbed and locked onto coal loaders, while 33 others positioned themselves high on a coal pile.

    The people involved in the protest ranged from 18 to 80. They also represented a huge cross section of our community with students, teachers, mothers, fathers, tradesmen…..this list could go onand on. People need to realise that caring about our environment and the future of our world doesn’t make you an ‘idiot hippy’!
    Why don’t you stop making silly assumptions and get some of your facts straight before making such prejudice comments.
