URALLA COMMUNITY TO BE CONSULTED ON WATER CONSERVATION

The Uralla community will soon have its say on the town’s water conservation efforts.
The ‘Let’s Talk About Water’ initiative was launched today to bolster confidence, after Kentucky Dam reached alarming levels last year.
It will see sustainability company, (ZED-NET) ‘Z-Net’, consult the community about possible options for including water recycling, rainwater storage, desalination, and an expanded dam.
“We really need to have a conversation with our town first to really understand what people’s values are about water and what they’d like to see and what support there would be for all the different options.”
The project is funded by a community grant from the New South Wales Government.
