CLIMATE ACTIVISTS FIGHT AGAINST THE NARRABRI GAS PROJECT
Five Extinction Rebellion group members have been charged following a Sydney protest against the Narrabri Gas Project approval.
The topless group began spray painting the Independent Planning Commission building yesterday, before attempting to glue themselves to the glass.
Painted in flames, they say it represents the climate crisis’ exposure to humans.
“We stand her in solidarity with the Gomeroi people of Northern NSW, who do not wish for their land to be hacked and destroyed and for their land to be respected,” says a protester.
Police charged the group with a range of offences including damaging property and obscene exposure.
