Knights halfback Mitchell Pearce is undergoing surgery today, after injuring his thumb.
It’s understood he fractured it during an incident at training while in camp at Tamworth.
The club says the injury is considered minor and he’ll be back for the Knights’ opening round game against the Bulldogs on March 12.
It’s also confirmed forward Jirah Momoisea ruptured his Achilles at training prior to the Christmas break and has since undergone surgery.
It says he’s “progressing well in his rehabilitation.”
