SEMI-FINAL WIN FOR WARNERS BAY

A strong second half wasn’t enough for South Wallsend in today’s WPL semi-final.
Warners Bay took just over three minutes to open the scoring thanks to Nadja Squires.
The Wolves pushed hard for an equaliser, the woodwork all that could deny Kalista Hunter.
Before the Panthers doubled their advantage, Toria Campbell pouncing on a loose ball.
An own goal in the second half gave Southy hope of a comeback, but it wasn’t enough.
The second leg of the semi takes place next weekend.
