Plenty of people lined up at a Bar Beach today for a free skin check over the weekend.
More than 90 patients were examined at the Hunter Melanoma Foundation clinic – at least four cancerous spots were discovered.
“One of our many mottos we have at the melanoma foundation is to check and protect your skin, to the younger generation you need to protect your skin and everybody needs to protect their skin on a regular basis,” said Hunter Melanoma Foundation CEO, Claudia Tolhurst.
Given the popularity of the clinic, the foundation says its looking at holding more free skin checks soon.
