WEST GOSFORD AFFORDABLE HOUSING PROJECT ONE STEP CLOSER

Work is progressing on a project to increase the availability of affordable housing in West Gosford.

Compass Housing’s 56 unit block at Young Street has now had its roof sealed.

It’s expected all work will be done and dusted by mid next year.

The units are among nearly 250 the state government is building, under the Social and Affordable Housing Fund.

The opposition has this week called for maintenance of existing, rundown social housing, to help meet increasing demand.
