TAMINDA MAN ALLEGEDLY STEALS $10,000 WORTH OF COWBOY HATS

A North West man has been charged after allegedly stealing more than $10,000 worth of cowboy hats.

It’s alleged the 32-year-old broke into a business on Kelly Street in Scone, early one morning, back in October.

He was allegedly seen loading dozens of cowboy hats into a wheelie bin before running away.

Each hat has an estimated value of around $300.

At around 1pm this afternoon, officers from the Hunter Valley Police District arrested the Taminda man.

He’s been charged with several offences.
