A total fire ban has been declared across the entire north-west region.
Very high fire dangers are predicted for the New England and Northern Slopes across the weekend.
Meanwhile, the North Western district, including Moree, Narrabri and Walgett, can expect severe conditions.
The state’s RFS recommends having a fire survival plan in place and to keep well-informed of changing conditions.
