FOUR ARRESTED OVER ALLEGED METH DRUG RING

Police have charged a Lismore couple for their alleged involvement in a drug ring that saw large quantities of Methylamphetamine sold on the road between Sydney and Lismore.

Police allege the 47 year old man from Chilcotts Grass was selling the drug to other drivers while travelling on the Pacific and New England Highways.

“Obviously one aspect of this investigation that has arisen is disturbing it concerns links between the alleged supply of methleamphetamine and the use of that drug in the transport industry.”

Police arrested another two men in Sydney and charged them with numerous drug offences including supplying an indictable quantity of a prohibited drug.

More arrests are expected.

“I’m sure there will be some worried people out there today and I encourage those persons to come forward before we come knocking.”
