The Forster-Tuncurry Hawks have a new leader for the 20-14 Group 3 season, with Mick Basham taking over from Terry McCartney as coach.
McCartney – who led the Hawks to the final – says he’s decided to step down due to family and work commitments.
The Hawks will also be without one of its key players next year, with Sam McCartney deciding to take a break.
The five-eighth suffered a serious hamstring injury before the finals.
