A man was refused bail in Newcastle Local Court today, after allegedly hitting a female cyclist with his car at Jesmond over the weekend.
The 25-year old is also accused of assaulting a paramedic and a police officer at the scene.
He’s due back in court tomorrow.
The woman remains in a stable condition in John Hunter Hospital.
