FIRE STOPS TRAFFIC ON PACIFIC HIGHWAY NEAR MOORLAND

A bushfire stopped traffic on the Pacific Highway this afternoon, after breaking out on the side of the road near Moorland on the mid north coast.
The blaze began just after three o’clock, and quickly spread up the embankment.
Both southbound lanes were closed – and one northbound – as firefighters worked to control the flames.
The cause of the blaze is being investigated.
