From today, the national minimum wage will increase by 3.5 per cent and the Fair Work Ombudsman is calling on Mid North Coast businesses to check the new rates.
More than two-million Australians will receive a pay rise of $24.30 for a 38-hour week.
Fair Work says employers must take action to pass on the wage increase to their employees to avoid unexpected costs down the track.
