NORTH WEST TOPS THE STATE FOR THE HIGHEST NUMBER OF FIREARMS

The north-west has the highest number of registered firearms in New South Wales, according to new data from the state’s firearm registry.

The region is home to approximately 85,000 firearms, with Tamworth and Inverell home to the largest number of registered weapons.

One Tamworth gunowner has 137 weapons registered with the authority, while a Manilla man has 125 firearms to his name.
