Christmas has come early for Woolgoolga children this year with the new playground opening just in time for the summer holidays.
The playground is part of the $1.2 million first stage of Woolgoolga reserve improvements.
It features large shaded areas, sheltered picnic areas, new footpaths and fencing on three sides.
The equipment is already being tested out with families enjoying the accessible carousel, slides, swings, diggers and climbing tower.
