CHRISTMAS MIRACLE AS CHAFFEY DAM HITS 40 PERCENT CAPACITY

There’s been something of a Christmas miracle at Chaffey Dam.

The catchment has hit 40.1 percent capacity in the past day.

Passing the trigger point for Tamworth to move to Level 1 water restrictions.

The region started 2020 on Level Five restrictions – with Chaffey Dam sitting at just 13 per cent capacity.

It’s understood the change in restrictions will come into effect from January 4.
