A man has been taken to hospital, after a two car crash at Lake Macquarie this afternoon.
Emergency services were called to Wangi Road, Toronto just after 2pm, to find the trailer of a ute almost completely destroyed.
They treated the 71-year-old ute driver at the scene for chest pains and a wrist injury, before the man was taken to John Hunter Hospital in a stable condition.
A man, woman and two children in the other car managed to escape without injury.
