Wild weather lashed the region overnight with Tamworth’s SES unit responding to 35 calls for help as homes were flooded.
Nearly 225 millimetres of rain has fallen this month, making this the second-wettest December in 47 years.
The Bureau of Meteorology warns there’s the potential for more thunderstorms in the North West this evening.
