AMBULANCE CRASH WHILE RESPONDING TO CALL AT WINDALE

A paramedic has been taken to hospital after being involved in a crash, while responding to a triple-zero call at Windale.

The ambulance she was in slammed into a traffic light pole at the intersection of South and Lake streets early this afternoon.

She was taken to John Hunter Hospital for assessment.

The emergency call came after a woman’s body was found inside a home.

Police established a crime scene but are NOT treating the death as suspicious.
