COMMUNITY REMEMBER CAR CRASH VICTIM IN MUSWELLBROOK

Members of the community joined in Muswellbrook last night to remember and pay their respects to Bright Darko.

Mr Darko who moved to Australia from Ghana, tragically lost his life in a triple fatal crash on the evening of January 17th.

As the bread winner, he had been working hard to support his family overseas.

According to friends he was “Bright in name and bright in nature.”

He’s left behind his wife and four-year-old daughter Mildred who were expected to join him in Australia once border restrictions eased.

Garth Belford, a member of the Muswellbrook community attended the cultural gathering yesterday to commemorate Bright’s life.

He says “It is Ghanan culture to meet 7 days post, at the location of a fatal accident to carry out traditional customs.”

“Our thoughts and prayers are with the family, friends work colleagues of Bright Darko.”

He also thanked Muswellbrook police for attending the ceremony, who ensured it was safe to gather.
