Ettalong Beach’s Centrelink office will close next month after failing to renew its lease.
The site is earmarked for development, with the federal government unable to find a new location in the suburb.
Staff will now work at the Woy Woy Services Australia office, which will soon be upgraded to enhance both self-service kiosks and appointments.
An “agent service” will eventually be set up in Ettalong, which helps with digital transactions.
State MP, Liesl Tesch has raised concerns about the closure, due to the area’s elderly population.
