PAIR CHARGED AFTER ILLEGALLY HUNTING WILD PIG IN BUNDARRA
Two men have been charged after they were caught illegally hunting in Bundarra.
The pair, aged 22 and 31, were pulled over by police on Copeton Dam Road just before midnight on Tuesday.
Officers observed four dogs in the back of their ute, one of which was fitted with a hunting tracking collar, before also seizing two knives.
Further inquiries revealed the men had trespassed on a nearby private property and killed a wild pig.
They’ve been charged with a raft of offences and will front Inverell Local Court on April 8.
