COASTIES URGED TO SLOW DOWN

Central Coast drivers are being urged to slow down, with new data from the State Government, revealing more than 60 people have died on local roads in the past five years.

While alcohol, fatigue and illicit drugs were factors in a number of those fatalities, speed contributed to nearly half.

Since 2015, more than 1,100 people have suffered serious injuries in car crashes locally.
