WOMAN CHARGED AFTER SUBMITTING FRAUDULENT CLAIMS TO NDIS
A Wallsend woman who fraudulently received over $175,000 in benefits from the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) has been charged.
An investigation into fraudulent behaviour was commenced by Quakers Hill detectives in November last year.
On Friday night, the 66-year-old woman was arrested at Waratah Police Station after extensive enquiries.
She was charged with multiple offences including obtaining money by deception and breaching bail.
The woman was refused bail to appear in Newcastle Local court today.
