FASTEST RAAF FIGHTER JET ARRIVES IN SCONE

An historic RAAF jet has arrived in Scone, after being transported from Sydney, on the back of a truck.

The Mirage A3-44 jetfighter will be stored in a hangar at Scone Regional Airport, before going on display.

Built in 1966, the aircraft is the fastest fighter ever used by the Australian Air Force.

It’ll be restored by volunteers, and become part of the Warbird Visitor Attraction, which opens in December.
