NEWCASTLE MAN DIES IN HOSPITAL WITH STAB WOUND
Police are investigating the death of a man who was stabbed near Broadmeadow on Sunday night.
The 56-year-old showed up at a home on Broadmeadow Road around 8:20pm with a wound to his stomach.
A resident and her neighbour helped the man and called emergency services.
He was taken to John Hunter Hospital in a critical condition and sadly died in hospital today.
Officers from Newcastle City Police District established a crime scene and have commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
