GHD WELCOMES MORE WOMEN TO GRADUATE PROGRAM
A positive sign for workplace equality in the same week as International Women’s Day – with engineering, architecture and construction company GHD welcoming six women to its 2021 graduate program across Newcastle and Northern New South Wales.
The company says it’s seen a significant rise in the number of women interested in science, technology, engineering and maths.
“We believe that our workforce should be a reflection of society and so our staff can be their true selves at work, and that has mutual benefits for them as individuals and us as a company.” – Phil Pigram, GHD Northern New South Wales Manager.
“There probably is a lack of education on what a career in STEM involves, it is so diverse, you can really do anything that you would like.” – Maddie Almer, University of Newcastle graduate.
